MSNF 600 Family Primary Care: Intro to Advanced Practice
Description
This course guides the nurse practitioner student in developing professional identity, clinical readiness, and other core nurse practitioner competencies. After introducing the students to the role, scope, and regulations of nurse practitioners, the students will learn how to access and utilize peer-reviewed and evidence-based guidelines and standards of care, develop and coordinate interdisciplinary care, and synthesize prior knowledge and skills to develop clinical readiness in family primary care. The course will include an on-site immersion.
