Nursing Program following Dismissal
A student who has been dismissed from core nursing courses may be considered for reentry through the appeals process. If the appeal is successful or an academic exception is approved, the student will be readmitted to active status only as space is available. In addition, the student must meet the following conditions:
Successfully complete the prelicensure refresh modules and complete all assigned work.
Sucessfully complete and pass assigned assessments with a minumum score of 76%.
Sucessfully complete and pass assigned skills validations.
Complete all requirements as outlined within the agreed-upon Academic Action Plan.
Tuition costs for completing the prelicensure refresh modules will be waived for those students who complete the entire term. Students who withdraw from the University (or begin an LOA) before completing the term will be subject to a pro-rata portion of tuition and fees for courses scheduled for the term at the time of withdrawal.
The student is required to meet all attendance and/or participation requirements in the refresh modules including assessments and additional competency skills validations on campus.
Following successful completion of the refresh modules and skills validations as outlined above, previously completed nursing coursework may need to be repeated due to program requirements for clinical currency. The student must reenter following all current application/programmatic requirements. Reentry students must earn the minimum grade required in each course and meet all program/course requirements or they will be dismissed from the program, without opportunity for appeal.
