Other States (Distance Education)

West Coast University is approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

NC-SARA was established to help expand students’ access to educational opportunities and ensure more efficient, consistent, and effective regulation of distance education programs. NC-SARA is a voluntary program that provides for state oversight of postsecondary education delivered via distance education through an institution’s home state.

THECB serves as the State Portal Entity (SPE) in the institution’s home state, which means that it approves and monitors institutions in Texas that participate in NC-SARA. THECB also serves as the contact for student complaints associated with SARA enrollments.

Please visit the NC-SARA website (https://nc-sara.org/directory) for the most current list of participating states.
